A Journey Built on Passion and Flexibility

Lisa’s journey into consulting wasn’t a straight path, but it’s one that perfectly showcases her resilience and dedication. After years of long hours in traditional corporate roles, the demands of a full-time job took their toll. “I reached a point where I realized I couldn’t continue at that pace anymore,” she says. “It wasn’t about not loving accounting—it was about finding a balance to take care of myself and my family.”

During a break from work, Lisa was introduced to CCN. Initially skeptical, she soon realized that CCN’s flexible consulting model was exactly what she needed. “I took a leap of faith, and I’m so glad I did,” she shares. Consulting with CCN allowed Lisa to continue doing what she loves, with the flexibility to care for her family—without guilt.

A Consultant Who Brings Balance and Expertise

Lisa’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including balance sheet management, P&L experience, and internal controls. Her broad knowledge of finance, combined with her ability to ask the right questions and adapt to new environments, makes her an invaluable asset to every project she takes on.

“I’ve always been someone who thrives on learning new things. Every role I’ve had, I’ve gained new insights and been able to flex my skills in different ways,” says Lisa. Her experience working in manufacturing, property management, and consulting has given her the ability to step into different roles and provide valuable perspectives. This versatility and willingness to take on challenges make Lisa a standout consultant and an integral part of the CCN community.

What Lisa appreciates most about CCN is the sense of community and the company’s support for its consultants. With CCN, she has the freedom to choose projects that align with her skills and maintain a healthy work-life balance. 

“Being able to work from home, take breaks when needed, and not carry the mental weight of a full-time job has been a game-changer,” Lisa says. “I’m able to focus on my work when I need to, and when the day is over, I can truly disconnect and enjoy my time with family and friends.”

The Road Ahead

Looking ahead, Lisa is excited to continue contributing to her professional success while balancing her life outside of work. As a grandmother and volunteer, Lisa finds joy in the small moments, like walking with family or volunteering with therapy horses. “I’m in a really good place right now. I’m doing work I love and being there for my family,” she reflects.

Lisa’s story is a reminder of how CCN’s community-driven approach helps consultants thrive both professionally and personally. Her advice to others considering consulting: “Once you’ve gained experience, consulting offers so much flexibility and the chance to bring a fresh perspective to new projects. It’s a great way to learn new skills and make an impact on your own terms.”
