CCN makes the Inc. 5000!

We did it! CCN officially made the Inc. 5000, a list of the most successful companies in America. 

We came in at number 1359, landing us in the top 30% of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies in 2023. We ranked 140 in Texas, 156 in business products and services, and number 45 in the greater Austin area.

When the news came in, CCN Founder Andy Cox was pursuing a little work-life balance of his own, vacationing with his family in the Sierras. He took a moment to share the Inc. 5000 announcement and a heartfelt thank you video to everyone involved.

The power of people-first business

This incredible milestone comes just five years after Andy Cox launched our Austin-based consulting firm with a radical new approach to consulting and recruiting finance and accounting.

“Consulting firms tend to hyper-focus on quotas, margins, and returns for their investors, and that’s fine; that’s their business model,” explains Andy. “When we started CCN, we decided to do things differently. We decided to put people first.”

“We set out to serve our peers in finance and accounting — both consultants and clients. We’re here to give them back their nights, weekends, and holidays, something we rarely get in our world.”

CCN’s people-focused values aren’t just a nice idea; they’re baked into the business model. Our company was founded with no outside investment, and margins are kept as low as possible so that more of the bill rate goes straight to the consultants.

Then and now, we continue to pay our consultants better than any other firm in the industry, and that means clients also benefit from some of the most qualified and engaged talent in the market.

Today, inclusion on the Inc. 5000 is just another proof point, celebrating 429% growth over the last three years. The recognition also comes on the heels of the Austin Business Journal’s “Fast 50” award and the ACG Austin/San Antonio Growth Awards, both in 2022.

The sky is the limit

“We’re going to keep on building on this,” says Andy. “We’ve got a lot of work to do; we’ve got a lot more people to serve. We’re in this for the long haul, but we’re going to get back to work tomorrow and keep on doing this.”
