CCN Raises Over $76k for Light the Night 2023!

What if business was truly about making a difference — not just for its clients and consultants, but for its community? For a cause?

That question has been an important part Cox Consulting Network since its founding, but this year, the answer truly blew us away.

Our Community Impact: LLS

At CCN, our community impact is focused on Light the Night Austin, an annual fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). The fight against blood cancers has always been near-and-dear to founder Andy Cox, and many of our own community members have rallied behind the cause.

Ask around and you will be surprised how many people you know have been affected by blood cancer in some way. Friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors are all susceptible, but organizations like LLS are leading the fight with research and support for local families in need.

For much of each year, we set aside 50 cents for every consulting hour billed, and we invite our clients to match these gifts or make donations of their own.

Many of our team also participate in creative fundraising efforts like Beer Beats Cancer.

A Record-Breaking Year

Each year, our financial impact has been more and more impressive, but this year truly takes the cake.

Thanks to a hugely dedicated planning team (*cough* Sara Smith) and some very generous donors and local breweries, we knew we were on the right track when our Beer Beats Cancer event raised over $30k in October!

After tallying up these funds, plus consulting hours, and a corporate sponsorship, our team total came out to a record-breaking $71,320 plus a $5,000 sponsorship for a total of $76,320 raised — putting us as Austin’s #1 corporate team at Light the Night!

Celebrating Success at Light the Night 2023

The CCN team came together on Thursday, November 2, for a brilliant Light the Night 2023 at the Long Center, looking over Lady Bird Lake and downtown Austin.

We simply can’t say thank you enough to all of the generous companies, groups, and individuals who have made this year such a success. Together, we are truly making an IMPACT in the fight against cancer.
